If you are in Jesus, you must keep the Sabbath and keep it holy; on Sunday(or Saturday) thou shall not cheer any sports game or go on any romantic dates or enjoy any family or friendly outing. Such a stance seems tough to anyone who is not abiding in Christ — who automatically makes his disciples gladly only obsess on Jehovah for one whole day. In Jesus, you fulfill the Mosaic laws and not just observe them. Essentially, the difference between observing and fulfilling commandments can be clearly seen in the fourth law. Even Muslims support the written philosophy which forbids worshiping idols, dishonouring parents, killing, stealing, coveting, and all the other vices outlined by Moses. The only Mosaic law which even most modern born again Pastors regard as outdated and dictatorial seems to be the order for complete rest once per week.
Nevertheless, people who think they are okey by honouring parents, frequently praying, going to church(or to the mosque) and helping the poor break the first commandment. Even if you perpetually ask God for forgiveness you are worshiping your own good deeds, words and gestures. The law was written to be broken by all people except Jesus Christ who is the culmination of all ordinances. In the Old Testament, the day of rest was the day of worship. However, without the atoning blood of Jesus which reconciles us to the power of God that washes away all demons, there is really no rest and worship. If you are harbouring evil spirits, you will eventually even commit suicide, even if you are a billionaire. The Old Testament was a shadow of the reality of baptism in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Only potential criminals are ruled by ‘thou shall not’. Jesus pointed out that all law and prophecies are meant to make us madly love our creator. Moses and prophets arouse us to our forsaken hateful status. No father would write orders for his children to love him; no spouse would command her beloved to adore him. Commandments testify that we are disconnected from the heavenly father; yet the source of all lights is life. This is why all laws were meant to lead all human beings only to confess, “I am a living corpse who is utterly dysfunctional; therefore I need a saviour to perfect me by reconciling me back to the heavenly father.”
Christians are the only human beings who have been revived from a damned existence. This is why it is disturbing that instead of testifying that they have true connection with the triune fullness of Jehovah, Christians are endlessly confused on what the Sabbath is. New Testament Christians have distorted worshiping in spirit and truth to become a ritual of going to church on Sunday morning, singing three or five slow songs, briefly praying, offering money to the holy begging from the pulpit and then returning home to enjoy eating, drinking and having family fun. However, the gist of worship, even the shallow type in the Old Testament (which the Jews failed in fulfilling) is simply complete surrender of everything. Time is our most precious asset. During the Biblical exodus, the killing of the man who collected wood on the Sabbath, and the rotting of the manna which was collected on the rest day pointed out that Jehovah used the Sabbath as a preparation for all people to wholly submit to his son; Jesus, who saves our eternity from being never ending screaming, is the only way to live any minute.
In modern times, the Yom Kippur war, on 6th October 1973, best highlights the meaning of a Sabbath. Leading up to the Battle which was an Arab revenge mission of their humiliation in the 1967 war — in which the prophecy of Israel regaining full control of Jerusalem was fulfilled — Egypt engaged in deceptive manouvres that made Israel let down their guards or ‘surrender’ their military pre emptive actions. But the errors which the Israelis committed before and during the war suggests that the Holy Spirit allowed the confusion to let them know that omniscience, only found in the omnipresent (even if unseen)Jesus Christ, is the only rescue from physical and spiritual annilihation.
The current Israeli nation is in a Sabbath. Its rebirth, as scholars such as Grant Jeffrey have pointed out, was divinely instituted. As decreed by Ezekiel, the Lord banished them for 430 years(the same period of Egyptian slavery)” They served 70 years in Babylon before being released by Cyrus as Jeremiah prophesied. But they never repented. Leviticus 26:18 warns the nation that it will be punished 7 times for stubborness to the Lord. However, only those who fulfill (and not just observe the law) will be worthy to attend the heavenly feast. The Bride of Christ must fulfill the Sabbath.
Essentially, the Sabbath is a day to testify that an Invisible Provider and Protector, takes care of your visible existence. This is the gist of the Jubilee year whereby even planting and reaping was suspended for one full year. Some modern nations such as Kenya are currently trying to wring blessings from Jehovah by observing their own 50th year of existence yet they don’t fear the consequences of improper observance of a Jubilee. Israel was partly banished from its land because of oppressing and overworking the poor, which was a result of them having frivolous sabbaths, feast days and jubilees. Therefore, any group of preachers who lie to a nation that they can be blessed by merely observing the Old Testament feasts (or any national holiday) are inciters of the kind of mass suicide which Israel succumbed to in 70 AD. Kenya, like all countries, is now a nation full of clashing tribal prides that can even plunge the nation in civil war. Prosperity preachers in the nation are misleading people from surrendering themselves to the Holy Spirit. They are urging their compatriots to plan, prepare and meditate on how to patriotically eat, sing, dance and gloat — God has allegedly decided to honour their nation’s jubilee year with showers of physical blessings. Complete humility to the Holy Spirit, during any year, is the only divine solution to any nation.
The glory of Jehovah heals all failures and fiascos. For instance, because tribalism is based on tribal languages, only a common unifying tongue can undo linguistic jingoism. Baptism in the Holy Spirit miraculously introduces a common heavenly language across different clans, tribes and classes. The egomania was scattered all over the world; since the tower of Babel, the most powerful narcissts have always tried to impose their sound system onto the rest of the world they subdue as their empire.
In undeveloped countries, rich or well schooled children are educated to show off how well they speak English or French or Arabic or Portuguese or any other elite communication — so as to continue enjoying the same lifestyle of their parents. Meanwhile, in most cases, the majority of the poorly educated, who are mostly used by the rich in tribal violence, have no other choice but to find solace in their ethnic customs and cultures. The baptism of the Holy Spirit shatters such a vicious cycle of worshiping lucrative careers and pagan philosophies. The Spirit of God introduces a language which is based on SUBMISSION to his omniscience. You cannot lie to the Holy Spirit. Thus, the only solution to modern African nations is the communion of educated and iliterate groups based on the GIFTS of the Holy Spirit. The most meek person, evident by the overflowing annointing in the individual, should lead everyone else.
The essence of a church is creation of a new leadership system. The Sabbath gathering should never be a pious appeasement of Jehovah Jireh so that he blesses us with comforts for the rest of the week. The EKLESSIA IS AN ETERNAL GOVERNMENT IN WAITING. The church must be a co-operation of sincere and sacrificial people who honour each other’s humility to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Fellowship in the Ruach Hakodesh, the Gift from the Father whom Jesus promised, is the ultimate Sabbath and Jubilee. Most of the world is now refusing to be baptized into this Holy Spirit. Humility, a necessity in this precious immersion, is so vile to the carnal mind that expressions such as ‘humble beginnings’ and ‘eating humble pie’ are used in denoting the status of a ‘loser’ who is at bottom of the social ladder; the winner who climbs this stairs upto to the top cliches a crown glowing with pride. This is why national observances of any feastday or years (even biblical ones) are explosions of pride. Essentially, holidays have become opportunities to exalt a particular community above the King of Kings, especially when invoking his Lordship.
Christianity is full of Eurocentric jingoism. Europe, as seen from its empty cathedrals, has for long ignored the centrality of the heart of the living King of Israel in all things, especially when invoking his name. This is the reason behind crusades and also behind replacement theology. Crusades, which used brute violence to overcome unbelievers were rebellions against Christ, who commissioned his ministers to only conquer ‘heathens’ through the power of his spirit in his teaching. Replacement theology, behind the Nazi genocide, is intimidated by the empty Jewishness of anti-Jesus Israelis until it even uses violence to deny the testimony of Jehovah in the physical nation of Israel. Most of replacement theology sponsored the exclusive Sunday worship, thus unwisely condemning Saturday worshipers. However, even Charismatics who try breaking away from liturgical Eurocentric Christianity whilst honouring the testimony of Jesus in Israel, get lost in surface rituals.
Preachers of the grace doctrine have partly understood the ministry of condemnation of the the Old Testament. This is why they keep away from any validation gained by literally keeping the Mosaic law. For instance, Joseph Prince, arguably the most annointed televangelist, best exposes the folly of Christians such as Seventh Day Adventists — who think that they are supposed to obey the Mosaic fourth law — instead of fulfilling it in Jesus Christ. If you think you are holy just because you don’t worship on Sunday, you claim that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ is void. No church full of the Holy Spirit would base its core doctrine on a DAY of the week; all churches must highlight the PERSON of Christ. Jesus is time itself.
The Sabbath is simply a day to reveal that Jesus is the arrangement of days and seasons. Sunday, as Adventists aptly point out, is named after a day of worshiping the sun God. Monday to Saturday are also named after various Anglo Saxon pagan gods. However, even if the Roman Catholic church, (which tried to make a rigid law of Sunday worship) was full of pagan idolatry, the Holy Spirit used it to introduce the AD and BC demarcations of time. AD and BC point out that Yeshua is time itself. Nowadays, agnostic academicians have changed AD to become CE (Common Era) and BC to mean BCE (Before Common Era). The secular capitalistic environment, we are in, infecting Protestants and Charismatics, is even worse than the pagan Roman Catholic one.
This can be clearly seen in the fact that modern economies run for only five days, yet even born again Christians don’t want to devote a whole day to their redeemer. Even in Islamic countries, people have two days to rest. Essentially anyone now alive can enjoy himself or herself for one whole day whilst completely worshiping God on a subsequent one. Our modern current rest days are thus tests by Jesus; on our free days, Christ is examining whether we are more obsessed with our own bodies or our own spirits. This is why Jehovah does not really have a strict law on a particular day of worshiping him. Christians in Muslim countries are forced to rest on Friday and Saturday or even Thursday and Friday. Thus the spirit of your worship is more important than the name of the day you do it. Also, you can dedicate two whole days of the week to just worshiping God. A true Sabbath ultimately makes you surrender all your time to Jesus Christ.
The fact that Muslims worship all day long yet they never understand Jesus who is ‘the Lord of the Sabbath’ of ‘the Lord of rest’ points out that on Friday, Muslims just torment themselves. Unfortunately, some Charismatic churches, who own businesses also do so by operating them on their worship day. Thus they never discover Jesus on resting so as to evangelize him. Closing a business on a day of rest preaches the gospel. Forfeiting profit making so as to only worship the giver of life proclaims that he is worthy of all honour. Prosperity preachers corrupt the grace of Christ to the extent of saying that the cross licences people to even buy or sell on Sunday. This is because they miss this fact; Jesus is not a jackpot theory of grace; he is a living person who sustains the energy all of us even use when talking or listening about him. Jesus is the theory or law of ALL life.
Such truth is lost on Joseph Prince who concentrates too much on expounding the human side of Christ; that is why he thinks that the LORD of LORDS is not fearful to approach; that we are joined to Yeshua and can boldly appproach the throne should make us fear and tremble at the born again spirits we have become. Jesus is sweetness itself; when beholding him, overflowing peace must soak you. However, this is only after you completely submit to him. All people will face the Lord. The pure in heart will behold him as their never ending reward whilst the ones who lived for lusts and pride will gnash their teeth and weep infront of his merciless countenance which will condemn them to the lake of fire.
The Apostle John, who leaned on his lap during the last supper, bowed down when seeing the real Son of God as a person who is burning brighter than the sun with a bust of gold and feet of bronze. This is because John did not really understand what is the form of ‘God’. This is why he later almost worshiped an angel. But when beholding Jesus, he grasped this fact: If our eyes were on fire, wouldn’t we die of pain? Jesus, whose nerves are infinitely delicate than our own, mysteriously swallows all pain from the extreme burning he is. He also soaks in the pain all angels should suffer; Cherubims are burning flames yet they are living beings. This is why the angel commanded the Apostle John to only worship the Holy Spirit inside his spirit, who ushered John into the spiritual realm, and who feels all sensations so as to maintain even the comfort of angels. The eye of Christ which flames, yet soaks all stinging, knows everything in every moment.
In the Book of Revealation, only two churches out of the seven are commended by the burning omniscient eyes of Adonai. This is why most Grace Preachers, who love the ‘once saved always saved doctrine’, avoid reading the letters in the Book of Revealation. In this book, Jesus clearly reveals himself as the Law itself: he overcomes decomposition, he comforts and tortures, he holds all planetary motions, he rewards with infinite honour, wisdom and authority. Prince and many preachers have been bewitched by CHRISTIANESE. ‘Law’ is not merely an order to obey. God does not consider himself as a divine pastor or pope. Jesus is sure that all the LAWS OF NATURE AND LIFE, like gravity, thermodynamics and relativity, are contained in him. This is why he proclaims that he is the beginning and the end.
Jesus declares, “I am the Alpha and Omega.” He has revoked the Old Testament LENIENT rules so as to establish that he is the strict grammar or rule or law of all reality which only the baptism in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit can fulfill. Adultery according to Moses is illegal physical copulation; according to Jesus, adultery is mere drooling. Murder, according to the stone tablet, is actual killing; according to Jesus, murder is hate. Jesus never revoked the law but fulfilled the concept of ‘Law’; At the cross Jesus dismissed the lenient shadow of the Principle or law of living he is. Because he is the real grammar of space, time and matter which all people must CONFORM TO, every law and rule (even national constitutions) should shadow all concepts of life contained in Jesus Christ.
Therefore, Jesus came to revoke the shadow of the law written on tablets; The Old Testament is a theory or formula for living for demonized beasts. Jesus is the everlasting law or principle or formular of life itself whom only born again spirits filled with the Holy Spirit can obey. However, when we are born again, we are still living in beastly bodies. To check whether your spirit is clinging and conforming to the eternal law Christ is, you must perpetually and continually examine whether your flesh is breaking the Mosaic commandments.
When you realize your born again spirit has enabled your flesh to keep the ten commandments, you internalize why Jesus was saying, “You have had it said… but I now say…”. Jehovah does not consider anything like electrons or atoms or ‘elements of nature’; everything is an emanation of his personality. When you enter Christ, you must conform to infinite laws of space, time and matter. If you don’t fulfill the Mosaic Sabbath, it is a symptom you have not in harmony with signification itself, which created life and is patterned all over creation. Therefore,you will be an enemy to life. This is why Israel had to be banished for frivolously keeping the Sabbath and Biblical feasts. They were not preparing to receive the messiah who is patterned in the flow of time. Yeshua is the law of time.
A letter is a space with a sign; a day is daylight and night time; a word is a sequence of shadows and lights that has a space; a week is a sequence of working days and nights with a rest. Sentences, paragraphs and chapters, evoke biblical feasts and Jubilees, which point out that reality is a Book of life. Science has proven this fact by discovering the DNA code. However, this is the greatest mystery; Even when silent or resting, God is not fainting and slumbering.
Observing the Sabbath makes us realize that God is not frivolous. Even in his gaps and his lack of activity he is creating harmony. This is why Jesus healed on the Sabbath. Resting is divine restoration. Also, Jesus ressurected on the first day of working, our Sunday, to point out that true work is dying completely to self centred sensual desires so as to live in the ressurection of born again spirits. Every day should be a day of resting or dying to the Sabbath that is Christ whilst simultaneously ressurecting in your spirit filled by the Holy Spirit. The one day we worship should perfectly arrange how we daily live. Money-maniac workaholism and consumerism, which disregards the redemption of rest, is behind toxic environmental pollution.
The devil is also polluting the airwaves with advertisments, music and shows which corrupt our understanding and sleep. Infact, dreams and visions — when we are sleeping, are the highest form of wisdom and revealation. Resting is learning. But if your life is corrupted with prosperity preaching, which is a gospel of self centred FLESHLY comfort all day and all night, you will be tormented with desires for pleasure and human acceptance. Consequently, you will never have dreams, intutions, and visions to make you understand that God wants you to surrender to him at all costs on the Sabbath so that he is legally obliged to add unto you rests in the middle of any storm that MUST daily come to you.
